If you would like to help Black Facts Online realize its potential, there are several ways that you can help out:

Black Facts Research Associate (BFRA)
Research Associates are the people who actually enter the Black History Facts into the database. Research Associates work from their homes or offices and log onto special web pages that allow them to add and update Black History Facts at their own pace. Research Associates are unpaid volunteers. While they do not receive monetary compensation, Research Associates do receive the benefits described in the second half of this page.

Black Facts Historian
To ensure the quality of the information in the database, facts submitted by Research Associates are stored in a waiting area until they are validated by a Black Facts Historian. Historians are individuals who have a superior knowledge of Black History that qualifies them to act as final authorities on the accuracy of submitted information.

To become a Historian, complete the form on the Black Facts Research Associate Page and mention the fact that you are interested in becoming a Historian instead of a Research Associate.

Black Facts Sponsor
An individual or organization that provides financial support to the Black Facts Online project is a Black Facts Sponsor. Financial support can come in one of three forms: Grants, Sponsorship or Advertising.

A Grant is an outright donation to the cause, with no reciprocal publicity or other services neither implied nor expected in return. There are no restrictions on grants. If you are interested in making a grant to the project, please send e-mail directly to Ken Granderson at kennyg@innercity.com.

Sponsors provide the project financial support in exchange for promotional consideration. The Black Facts Sponsorship program is described on the Black Facts Sponsorship Page.

Advertisers also provide the project financial support in exchange for promotional consideration, but for much shorter periods of time. The advertising rate schedule for Black Facts Online has not yet been completed, but will be posted here when it is complete.
