White House staffers will no longer be required to undergo temperature checks to enter into the facility, an official told CNN.
The official said staffers were told in an email Sunday that the temperature checks, which had become standard for White House entry over the past several months, were now voluntary.
The tents at the entrance where the tests had been conducted were taken down Monday, as the city began the second phase of its reopening plan amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The news comes in the wake of President Trump's campaign announcing Saturday that six staffers at his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
