If 2020 taught us anything, it's to not sleep on the power of HBCUs . Historically Black Colleges and Universities are now being represented in a history-making vice-president, congressman and other major political players. Three figures who rose to prominence and power in the last year -- Vice President  Kamala Harris , U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock and Stacey Abrams -- all hail from HBCUs.  To that end, here are some HBCU alums who have made history within and outside of the political realm.
