Dr. Adwoa Akhu - Psychologist, Professor, Author

Dr. Adwoa Akhu is a New York State–licensed clinical psychologist.

Dr. Akhu is a former president of the New York Association of Black Psychologists and a former board member of the National Association of Black Psychologists.

Dr. Akhu had a successful private practice for eighteen years and was the founder and director of the Sankofa Center, a holistic health center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Akhu continues to teach in the Adult and Professional Education departments of  John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Westchester Community College.

Dr. Akhu is the author of numerous self-help books including her latest, Cultivating Inner Peace: A Sustainable System for Professional Black Women.
