Prior to Twitter, Madati was Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at BET Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc. Madati lead the teams responsible for all aspects of digital, social and mobile strategy and oversees operations, content creation, technology, product development, and third-party digital/social partnerships across the suite of BET Network’s digital platforms.

Before BET Networks, Madati was the Head of Entertainment & Media at Facebook, Inc., charged with the growth and monetization of Facebook’s Entertainment & Media business.

Madati also serves on the Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Hutchins Center for African and African American Research. In 2014, President Obama appointed Madati to the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans.
