Estevanico, "Little Stephen," explorer and guide for

the Franciscan missionary Marcos de Niza, leads an

expedition from Mexico through the American Southwest territory

and claims to have signed the "Seven Cities of Cibola" of the Zuni,

a Native American Group, in present-day Arizona and New Mexico.
