By: Ashley Liotus/ BNC journalist New York (BNC) Black and Latino youth are disproportionately represented in the Foster Care system across the U.S. and in New York. So, when the Coronavirus outbreak began and was hitting communities of color the hardest, the medical director and staff at The Childrens Village took matters into their own hands and developed a plan of action from scratch. The Childrens Village welcomes youth ages 5 to 21. Some await adoption while others plan to return home. When COVID-19 hit, the team at The Childrens Village began taking temperatures multiple times per day, everyone []
