Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame Running Back Franco Harris and his sportswear company SilverSport® donated 500 towels and 500 pairs of socks to the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV) in Rwanda, a residential community for youth orphaned during and after the genocide in 1994. The antibacterial and odor-free products will help the village conserve water resources and aid in disease prevention. Here, ASYV residents James Muhaza (left) and Theogene Tuyisenge (right) proudly display their SilverSport towels, which they received during a moving ceremony to mark the launch of the partnership and Franco’s lifelong dedication to global philanthropy. For more information on the SilverSport partnership with ASYV, visit www.asyv.org.
