A better recognition for the young woman who filmed the killing of George Floyd would have been inclusion in an existing category, or the creation of or call for a new category honoring citizen journalism, writes Mikki Kendall. The citation does not change the prize's history with race, nor does its symbolism alter the traumatic reality she bore witness to -- and the pain she must grapple with every day.
