Following weeks of searching, the police confirmed that the Black Lives Matter activist, Oluwatoyin Salau, was murdered.

The 19-year-old was found dead along with a 75-year-old woman in Tallahassee, Fla., according to police.

Salau rose to fame after the killing of an unarmed black man, George Floyd by the police.

During the nationwide protests against police brutality, she would be spotted making an impassioned speech supporting the Black Lives Matter movements.

“Right now, our lives matter, black lives matter,” Ms Salau said in a video that surfaced on Twitter.
