Brewer became CEO of discount membership club and retailer Sam’s club in 2012, becoming the first woman and first African-American to head a Wal-Mart subsidiary. The $56 billion (revenues) division of Wal-Mart has operations in the U.S, Brazil and China, 110,000 employees and boasts over 47 million members
