San Francisco Introduces CAREN Act to Combat Racially Biased 911 Calls - L.A. Focus Newspaper

On July 7, San Francisco Supervisor Shamann Walton introduced an ordinance called the “CAREN (Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies) Act” that would make racially bias calls to law enforcement illegal. The name stems from the popular social media meme of a white woman who cries wolf at the expense of black people and other people []
