Seattle Awardrd $5.5 Million Grant To Combat Extreme Heat, Wildfires

Seattle has been awarded a $5.5 million grant from FEMA to establish cooling and clean-air centers at five library branches, providing relief from extreme heat and wildfire smoke, and marking the first cooling center award issued in Washington state.
