W. Don Cornwell was Chairman and Founder of Granite Broadcasting. Founded with the purchase of television stations in Duluth and Peoria, Granite developed from an entrepreneurial idea into a diverse station group that operated and provided services to 23 channels in 9 markets, reaching more than six percent of U.S. television households. The Company owned or managed affiliates of NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox. Prior to founding Granite, Cornwell worked at Goldman Sachs where he was the Vice President in the Investment Banking Division. In this role, Cornwell served as Chief Operating Officer of the Corporate Finance Department of the Investment Banking Division.
