[Moroccan American Center] I accompanied scores of delegations of Congressional staff, journalists, and prominent think tank members to Western Sahara over the course of 14 years between 2003 and 2017. The purpose of these trips was to let delegation members see for themselves what Morocco was doing to develop the territory and let them speak directly with Sahrawis about their views of what was necessary to resolve this enduring legacy of the Cold War.
