A video has surfaced online of a 90-year old grandmother from Texas shielding her 21-year old grandson, Tye Anders, from three police officers who were pointing guns at him.
The video shows the police ordering Anders to exit his vehicle which he refused to do at first due to being afraid.
Police had their guns aimed at the young man laid face down on the ground while Anders’ family and friends can be heard pleading with officers not to shoot him.
At that point Anders’ 90-year old grandmother intervenes walking towards the scene with a cane and stood over her grandson as officers continued trying to detain Anders even appearing to fall on top of him.
According to Midland Police, they tried to stop Anders for a traffic violation, but he continued driving instead until he arrived at his grandmother’s home.
