He began his wrestling career in 2013 training at Reality of Wrestling, a school owned by renowned wrestler Booker T. Prior to becoming a budding star at AEW, Guevara performed with several independent promotions, including the Mexican promotions Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
