Christ Church Girls’ School has emerged victorious in the Barbados Light & Power Battle of the Bots competition, showcasing the rising talent in coding and robotics among the island’s primary schools. The contest, a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Education, brought together ten schools at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology on Wednesday.The all-girls team from Christ Church impressed the judges with their technical prowess, securing the top spot and walking away with a 50-inch television, a plaque, and a trophy. Blackman and Gollop Primary and Arthur Smith Primary claimed the second and third positions, respectively.Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw highlighted the broader impact of the event. She emphasised that the competition went beyond mere victory, fostering essential life skills such as collaboration, communication, and mutual respect among participants.
