Barbados and West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin produced a quick-fire knock and snatched two wickets, to help power Gujarat Giants Women to a dominant 81-run victory over Chinelle Henry’s UP Warriorz Women in the Women’s Premier League on Monday.Playing at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India, Giants racked up an imposing 186 for five, with opener Beth Mooney narrowly missing out on a hundred with 96 not out off 59 deliveries.Harleen Deol weighed in with 45 off 32 deliveries while Dottin, arriving at number five in the 17th over, blasted two fours and a six in an eight-ball 17, to help Giants reach their eventual total.West Indies all-rounder Henry, handed the new ball, finished with one for 31 from her four overs and then top-scored with 28 from 14 balls as Warriorz were dismissed for 105 at the start of the 18th over.New-ball seamer Kashvee Gautam (3-11) and left-arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar (3-17) picked up three wickets apiece while Dottin, who shared the new ball, picked up two for 18 from three excellent overs.
