For Ruth E. Carter, history was achieved as she won the Oscar for Best Costume Design for her work on "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". The 62-year-old became the first Black woman to do so and joined actors Denzel Washington and Mahershala Ali in a select category of multiple Black Academy Award winners.
