Facial recognition: African leaders must ensure ‘regulation before rollout,’ says ISS

The Pretoria-based Institute of Security Studies (ISS) is urging leaders of sub-Saharan African countries to ensure regulations are in place before the rollout of facial recognition technology, which many experts see as one of the 'most intrusive forms of surveillance'.
