(Photo at left) Sedavia Porter Mosely was honored at the MLK East Texas African American Leadership Conference program held at East Caney Missionary Baptist Church Sunday, Feb. 23. The scholarship presentation was made by Ms. Patricia Cooper during the 100 Most Influential African Americans Awards Ceremony. Mosely is a history teacher and girls basketball assistant coach at Sulphur Springs High School. Kelly-Hunter is the pianist at East Caney Missionary Baptist Church, served as music minister at Morning Chapel Baptist Church for 27 years, and at Mount Calvary Baptist Church under leadership of the late Dr. Marion Wheeler for 13 years.
