[Observer] In September of 2018, heads of various Liberian universities and colleges converged at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MoPT) to discuss the establishment of a National Research and Education Network (NREN) in Liberia. Subsequently, on December 13, 2018, the same group met and signed an agreement for the establishment of an NREN which was later named, the Liberia Research and Education Network (LRREN).
