Missy Elliott is set to receive one of the most prestigious honors in Hollywood. Elliott, who is the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, will now receive the 2708th star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Vibe reports . Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez, who announced the news in a press release, described the 50-year-old as a trailblazer. “Missy Elliott has broken through the barriers of the male-dominated Hip Hop world, and music industry as a whole, as she has led the way for many women who have followed in her footsteps," Martinez said.
