By Keri Mitchell Dr. Brenda Louise Black, EdD, 82 of Sterling, Virginia passed away at home on September 1, 2022. Born in Brinkley, Arkansas on April 13, 1940, Brenda is the only child of Frances and Albert Brent. As a child her family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, and there she graduated from North High School. Brenda continued her education in Des Moines and graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor's degree in Education.
