Wallace is NASCAR’s only African American Driver at the sports highest Level.

After seeing many drivers united over the recent death he wants the moment to go forward with another phase.

Wallace feels the voices of the drivers carry much more weight than the average citizen.

Before the race a group of retired and current drivers put together a video to send a message to educate and push for change while the unrest is going on in the country.

An entire group of drivers sent out a video that stated: “The deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless others in the black community are heartbreaking and can no longer be ignored,” the drivers said.
