His name was buried in the annals of British Olympic history for more than 100 years because his name was wrongly spelt by athletic authorities and journalists when he first competed as the black heavyweight wrestler in 1908.Louis Bruce, who was born in Edinburgh in December 1875, made it to the second round of the 1908 Olympics in London.
