The Government last night gave notice that it intends to table a motion to amend the Representation of the People Act (ROPA) to facilitate the holding of general and local government elections on the same date.Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives Karl Samuda gave the notice on behalf of Prime Minister Andrew Holness, saying that the motion will be tabled at the next meeting of the House.
