New art on SLU’s campus honors displaced Mill Creek neighborhood

Students, faculty and community members gathered on Sept. 10 to celebrate new public artwork that honors Mill Creek Valley, a mostly Black neighborhood that was demolished by city officials in the 1950s.  St. Louis-based artist Cbabi Bayoc created four panels, each depicting an aspect of life in the Mill Creek community.
