Roc Nation Partners With Brooklyn-Based University To Open The Roc Nation School Of Music, Sports And Entertainment - Blavity

Long Island University is partnering with Roc Nation to open the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment in Jay-Z’s home borough. LIU Brooklyn will begin enrolling students for the new school, which will offer undergraduate degrees in music, music technology, sports management and entrepreneurship and production, in the fall 2021 semester according to a Roc Nation press release. Twenty-five percent of students enrolled in the school will receive a Roc Nation Hope Scholarship. Recipients will be provided with individualized support and mentorship in addition to financial aid. They will be selected from a pool of students from New York based on academic strength and financial need.  Guest artists and lecturers will instruct the students alongside university professors, and students will hold internships in order to get hands-on experience.
